Terms and Conditions

1. Legal Framework
This website belongs to 4 Sail Experience, Lda., tax ID nº 518920534, headquartered in Sintra, hereinafter referred to as the "Company." Access to and use of the services provided on this site imply full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.


2. Validity and Changes
These terms are valid indefinitely and may be modified at any time without prior notice. Changes take effect upon publication on the website.


3. Prices
Service prices may be updated according to market conditions.


4. Reservations and Payments
Tour reservations require full payment at the time of booking. Special event bookings require a 50% deposit at booking, with the balance due at least 30 days before the event date. For bookings made less than 30 days before the event, full payment is required at booking.


5. Reservation Changes
Changes to reservations can be made with a minimum of 72 hours’ notice and are always subject to availability.
If the change involves selecting a higher-value service, the client must pay the difference. However, if the new service is of lower value, no refund will be made.


6. Cancellations
If the client cancels:

    • With 30 days’ notice: 90% refund.
    • Between 29 and 15 days’ notice: 75% refund.
    • Between 14 and 8 days’ notice: 50% refund.
    • 7 days or less: no refund.


In the case of private tours and special or coporate events, the cancellation policy above remains applicable, except for any additional amounts already subcontracted to third parties, namely catering, flowers, entertainment, decoration, or other agreed services, for which no refund will be issued.


If the Company cancels due to operational or weather reasons, the client may choose rescheduling or full refund. Shared events require a minimum of 6 participants to take place.


7. Children
Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Minors under 6 are required to wear life jackets, provided by the Company, for the entire time on board. Children count as passengers. Babies up to 2 years old must remain on the companion’s lap throughout the service.


8. Boarding and Logistics
The meeting point may be changed with prior notice. Boarding is not guaranteed after the scheduled time for shared tours. For private tours or special events, boarding may occur after the scheduled time, but the end time remains unchanged. No refunds are given for client delays in either case.


9. Onboard Conduct
Clients must follow crew instructions. The Company may cancel the event without refund in case of improper behavior, drug use, or excessive alcohol consumption. Smoking is prohibited on board.


10. Service Refusal Conditions
The Company reserves the right to refuse boarding or service to any client visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In these cases, no refund will be issued.


11. Liability
The Company disclaims any liability for losses or additional costs resulting from theft, loss of belongings, accidents, illness, or death of the client.


12. Damages
Clients are responsible for damages caused to the vessel. The Company will communicate damages and costs in writing. Compensation or insurance activation will be required.


13. Privacy
User data is protected according to the Privacy Policy. The client consents to the use of their image in promotional materials unless otherwise stated.


14. Cookies
We use cookies to improve the browsing experience as indicated in the Cookie Policy.


15. Complaints
Any complaint must be sent to info@4sailexperience.com within 5 days after the service. Access to the Online Complaints Book is also provided.


16. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Portuguese law applies. In case of dispute, the competent court will be that of the Lisbon district.
